Co-operative Grant Helps City towards Goals

Co-operative-run Exeter City FC were given a close-season boost, thanks to a £2,000 grant from The Co-operative Group.
Half the money will support the club's 'Football in the Community' programme, supporting children and young people, and the other half will be spent on enhancing the club's facilities.
Exeter City Football Club is run as a co-operative by the Supporters' Trust and The Co-operative Group's grant follows links already established between the two organisations.
Exeter City's 'Football in the Community' project works not just with schools but also with young offenders and homeless people in deprived areas and the club also has a 'Playing for Success' learning support centre.
The Football Club's £2,000 award was agreed at a meeting of The Co-operative Group's Devon and Somerset Area Committee.
