Fairtrade Fortnight - Feb / Mar 2010

- Fairtrade Sampling Stall, Friday 26 February, 11.30am-2pm, Co-operative Store, Fore St, Heavitree. A selection of Fairtrade products will be available to taste.

- Fairtrade Wine and Drinks Tasting, Tuesday 2 March, 7.30pm, Long Lounge, University of Exeter. Free Fairtrade wine tasting at one of Exeter University's most popular student cafes. For further details contact Mark Johnston at mnj202@exeter.ac.uk.
- Fairtrade Chocolate Fountain and Chocolate Tasting, Wednesday 3 March, 12-2pm, Devonshire House Foyer, University of Exeter. - Fairtrade Celebration, Wednesday 3 March, 7-9pm, Global Centre, Exeter Community Centre, St David's Hill, Exeter. An evening of entertainment with activities, food tasting and discussion about fair trade issues, including a visit from Fairtrade producer Nicholas Agyei- Gyan from Kuapa Kokoo Cocoa Co-operative in Ghana. - How to Make Your Business Fairtrade - Painlessly!, Thursday 4 March, 12-2pm, Community Enterprise Unit / Fairspace, Garden Floor, Suite 1, 11-15 Dix's Field. Come and visit Fairspace for a lunchtime coffee & biscuits and find out more about switching your business to Fairtrade. - Fairtrade Tea Party, Thursday 4 March, 3-4pm, Refresh, University of Exeter. Join us for a Fairtrade Tea Party, with a speech from NUS Vice President for Society and Citizenship, Susan Nash. - Mad Hatters Tea Party, Friday 5 March, Bedford Square, 12-2pm. Bicton College students will be dressing up as colourful characters from Alice in Wonderland, including white rabbit, tweedle dum and tweedle dee etc to raise awareness of Fairtrade.
- Fairtrade Tea Dance, Saturday 6 March, Bedford Square, 2-4pm. Shoppers are invited to take a break from the crowds and join in waltzes, quicksteps and foxtrots. There will be music from Jerry Hart, and dance expert Colin Thorn and his club will be on hand to show us how it's done. Everyone is welcome to join in, for a few minutes or for 2 hours - enjoy a dance, have a cup of Fairtrade tea and find out more about Fairtrade!
- Fairtrade Tastings, Saturday 6 March, Oxfam Shop, South St, Exeter. A selection of Fairtrade food will be available to sample and buy.
- Fairtrade Exhibitions: Look out for Fairtrade displays in shops and cinemas across the city from 22 February to 8 March and pick up a copy of Exeter's new Fairtrade Directory.
